If I choose to
use
Freedom Glass, my insurance company says I may have to
pay any cost above what my insurance pays?
If you choose
Freedom Glass, you WILL NOT pay any more than your actual
deductible, if you have one.
Freedom Glass is on the
approved vendor list for most insurance companies and has
signed agreements accepting the amounts offered by each
insurance company. These agreements are non-negotiable.
Should you have a company that
Freedom Glass is not on their
list, we will agree to accept those same rates that other
glass shops in our area are receiving from your insurance
company.
Why is
OEM
(Original Equipment Manufacturer) glass and urethane so
important?
Freedom Glass only uses OEM glass and urethane, and encourages all
consumers, regardless of who you’ve chosen to perform your
replacement to use the same. OEM glass and urethane are
manufacturer by the same companies making the materials for
windshield installations for today’s vehicles coming off of
the assembly line. This glass meets or exceeds FMVSS
(Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards). Aftermarket
glass, while appearing similar to the unknowing consumer,
does not meet the FMVSS. Results, a clear piece of material
that will keep the vehicle’s occupants free from wind and
rain, but it may not serve to protect them in an accident.
Why should I
repair my windshield ?
Repairing your
windshield restores the integrity of the glass and prevents
the damage from spreading. And while
repairs do not make
the damage invisible, it can greatly improve optical clarity
and usually make the damage hard to detect. In addition,
most insurance companies will waive your deductible if you
elect to have a repair done to your windshield.
I need my
windshield repaired, or replaced, but I simply don’t have
time to take it in.
